Krystin McCarley brings years of experience and creativity to her role as Pastry Chef at Cafe Leonelli. Krystin's culinary journey began at Le Cordon Bleu London, a leading culinary school in England. After graduating at the top of her class, she moved to New Orleans where she served as Pastry Sous Chef at La Petite Grocery under a James Beard Award-winning chef. A native Texan, Krystin moved home to help revamp Austin's oldest and most treasured bakery, Quack's, which sources beautiful pastries to cafes and coffee shops all over the city. There, she assisted in the development of the company's wholesale business and played a key role in transforming Quack's into the beloved icon it is today. Continuing her career in Austin, Krystin went on to serve in culinary leadership roles at several long-time staples of the city, including as Pastry Chef of McGuire Moorman Hospitality's Jeffrey's, Josephine House, and Lambert's where her creativity really shined. She also served as Executive Pastry Chef for three separate concepts with the Austin-based Chameleon Group, including the city's admired Swift's Attic. From there, Krystin moved to Houston where she most recently served as Pastry Sous Chef for Goodnight Hospitality's three Montrose locations: Montrose Wine & Cheese, Rosie Cannonball, and March.
